Important Guidelines

Hackathon Rules & Regulations

  • Teams must consist of 4 to 5 members (consistent across all documentation).
  • Each team must include at least one female member to promote diversity.
  • Only one mentor per team is permitted (faculty guide).
  • Team leader must complete the registration form with all member details accurately.
  • Multi-disciplinary teams are encouraged (mix of technical and non-technical skills).
  • Participants may join only one team — multiple registrations will lead to disqualification.
  • At least 3 members must be present at the designated work area during judging.
  • All members and mentor must belong to same institution (college/university).

  • All work must be created during the hackathon timeline (fresh code only).
  • Projects must align with the given themes or problem statements (PS).
  • Use of pre-existing projects is not allowed except permitted open-source libraries/frameworks.
  • Teams must develop original code during the event — plagiarism checks will be performed.
  • Organizers may conduct code originality checks using automated tools.
  • A working prototype or live model is mandatory for final presentation.
  • API usage is allowed but must be declared during submission.

  • All projects must be submitted before the deadline — no extensions granted.
  • Submissions must include: source code, README, demo video (3-5 min), and presentation.
  • Each team must present their solution to the judging panel (10 min + 5 min Q&A).
  • Presentations should highlight innovation, technical depth, and business viability.
  • Late submissions will not be evaluated under any circumstances.

  • Any cheating, plagiarism, or misconduct will result in immediate disqualification.
  • Cross-team collaboration is not allowed — strictly individual team effort.
  • Participants must follow code of conduct: respectful behavior, no harassment.
  • Property or equipment damage will lead to legal responsibility and financial liability.
  • Use of alcohol, drugs, or any intoxicants is strictly prohibited and grounds for removal.

  • All decisions are final by judges and organizers — no appeals entertained.
  • Organizers are not liable for personal loss, injury, or equipment damage.
  • Rules may be updated and will be communicated via email/website promptly.
  • Participants allow the event to use photos/videos for promotional purposes.
  • Accommodation and meals are provided for outstation participants as per schedule.
